TERRAIN
RMR Backcountry, Rogers Pass, Heli-Assisted Touring and Private Backcountry Hut
We’re terrain people. Where we choose to ski is driven by the complex and diverse sub-ranges that surround Revelstoke. Here are a few key points that will help you learn about where, why and how we explore.
It snows here. A lot.
Finding great snow is not a problem
On average, Revelstoke receives 30+ ft of snow annually. Our settled snowpack typically exceeds the 2m mark by Jan 1 each winter.
The Selkirks are skiers’ mountains
We’ll ski right from the top.
Most of the summits are accessed without technical rope and crampon work allowing us to spend more time skiing and less time with transitions and gear.
Ridiculously good tree skiing
Great for low light and storm skiing
The tree skiing in the Selkirk Range is legendary. This allows us to ski safely even when it’s dumping (which is often).
Tall, but NOT high
Feeling fit means more enjoyment
The town of Revelstoke sits at 460m (1,575 ft) above sea level. This eliminates the need to acclimate to high altitude and allows skiers to maximize their uphill fitness.
